A glacier.
A town.
Near the coast.
Near Anchorage.
Shadow of the plane on the water, nearing the Anchorage airport.
Anchorage in the distance, nearing the airport.
Nearing Kotzebue, just north of the Arctic Circle. Kotzebue is north of Nome and the only stop between Anchorage and Nome.
Sitting on the tarmac at the Kotzebue airport. The airport is on the edge of the small village.
Flying over the Seward Peninsula, heading south from Kotzebue toward Nome.
Approaching Nome on the southern coast of the Seward Peninsula. The causeway leading to the docks for deep-water ships can be seen jutting out into the Bering Sea (Norton Sound). The causeway is on the western [far] edge of the city. The Nome airport is the light slash to the right of the center of the picture. The city is to the left.
