Classes- Fall 2010

Dr. Weinstein teaches a variety of courses in writing and web design. In particular, he is very interested in the ways in which computers can help people think and act more creatively. His courses, which are offered in the College of Arts and Sciences' DAD, ENM, ProTechComm, and English Education programs, as well as the General Education curriculum, tend to be highly interactive, internet-based courses that combine, along with weekly class meetings conducted in real time on the web, assignments students can do at their own pace.

Dr. Weinstein will teach the following courses in the Fall of the 2010 - 2011 academic year:

ENGL 101 (Composition)

In this course, students learn to write papers for their college courses.

ENGL 201 (Advanced Composition)

In this course, students learn more about doing research and how to present that research, in writing, to professors and other professionals.

ENGL 309 (Computer Supported Collaborative Writing)

In this course, students investigate ways in which computers may be used to support groups of people when they write together.
This course incorporates the use of Google Wave.

MCOM 351 (Web Publishing I)

In this course, students learn to craft web sites with their own two hands, in keeping with web standards.
