About Me

First, I enjoy my teaching, both the literature and writing courses, and I enjoy reading, especially contemporary fiction and poetry.  I enjoy running, and in addition to several road races that I do in the region, I've run a number of marathons, including the Twin Cities Marathon, the Lincoln Marathon, the Omaha Riverfront Marathon, and others. I also enjoy carpentry and working on cars, and  I write poetry and have placed a number of poems in national publications. 

I'm married, and I have three children.  I have a blog.
